TOM Lewis has been forced to pull-out of the Castelló Masters in Valencia, Spain after suffering from a virus.

The Welwyn Garden City golfer, whose victory in the Portugal Masters on Sunday in only his third start as a professional put him third in Europe’s Ryder Cup race, managed an opening level par 71 yesterday (Thursday).

However, the 20-year-old reported feeling unwell during that round and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
