Potters Bar Swimming Club enjoyed an excellent showing at the County Championships by bringing home a huge medal haul.

Getting to the championships was hard enough with swimmers from the Furzefield Centre-based club having to meet Swim England performance targets.

But in total the club took 40 swimmers with 25 making the finals and Koby Cornwall, won an amazing four gold, one silver and three bronze medals.

Georgina Tallon won a gold, two silver and two bronze, as Thea Patel took one gold, three silver and two bronze.

Ethan Howard had two gold, four silver and two bronze, Jake Moore three gold, one silver, two bronze, Alfie Francis a gold and three bronze and David Shipman two silver and a bronze.

There were also medals for Adam Martin, Lilly Blount, Josh Heesom, Jessica Heesom, Dayna Shepperson and Daniel Lush while the senior girls won two relay golds and the senior boys added two silvers.

Potters Bar followed up the successful county results with a first-place finish in round two of the Herts Major League.
