Essendon Country Club hosted it’s first ever Herts PGA Alliance Pro AM on Thursday with 15 professionals bringing teams from all over the county.
To set up for the day the tees were put back onto the blocks and greens were rolling beautifully considering the weather conditions in past weeks.
Even better the course was bathed in glorious sunshine for the 45 golfers that had headed to the course to hit the golf course.
There were fantastic performances by Essendon’s home professionals Ian Taylor and James Jankowski.
Jankowski, in his first ever Alliance event, won the individual event with an outstanding score of 68.
Taylor finished tied third with a very creditable 72 with his team managing an excellent total of 80 points to take second spot.
