Herts on target at Shamrock Club

HERTFORDSHIRE'S county darts team beat Dorset 24-15 overall at the Shamrock Club in WGC.
The victory moved Herts up to fifth place in the Promotion League Table just behind the leaders.
There were a number of fine performances from the county's Welwyn Hatfield representatives. Welwyn's Jill Theobald, on first for the ladies on the Saturday, won her match 3-1.
After losing the next two games, wins came from Jodie Alligan 3-1, Jo Brosnan 3-0 and lady of the match Jo Kitchen 3-0. Jo had a great finish in the final leg with a maximum 180 and 90 in two darts.
The men's B team won their fixture 7-5 with wins by Berkhamsted players Steve Reed 3-2, Steve Davis, also 3-2, and Roy Medcalf 3-0.
St Albans' John Blair emerged triumphant 3-2 and George Wilkinson won 3-1 on his debut.
WGC's Graham Wilson was another 3-1 winner plus the match award and Hatfield arrows man John Creed took his game 3-1.
The ladies also won 4-2 on the Sunday thanks to 3-2 victories for Sue Burden, Jane Phillips and Welwyn's Sharon Cowell. Lady of the match Linda Searle won her fifth game in a row with a 3-0 triumph.
The Herts men's A team drew 6-6 after finding themselves 6-3 behind.
WGC's Preben Krabben won 3-1 and there were also victories for Mark Woodhams, man of the match Steve Hartley, Rob Howie, Hatfield's Mark Elliot and Stuart Willey.
Herts are away to Staffordshire this coming weekend.
