Just under three years ago Olympic dreams and gold medals were achieved at the Copper Box Arena, this weekend Herts Mavericks head to the London 2012 venue to clash with Surrey Storm for the ultimate domestic netball honour; the Superleague crown.
The two familiar foes have already met this season at the iconic sporting centre with Storm claiming a 54-42 victory in March.
Mavericks have had an indifferent season with injuries blighting their campaign, despite that their quality under the leadership of head coach Sam Bird has shone through.
They find themselves in the grand final after a stunning 48-41 triumph away to league leaders Manchester Thunder last weekend in the play-off semi-final.
With England international Corbin sisters, Sasha and Kadeen, now fit for the Mavericks they are sure to be influential figures, as will be goalkeeper Naida Hutchinson and goal attack Louisa Watson, the Hatfield-based side will take some beating.
