The experienced Lindsay Keable and Vicklyn Joseph will be Hertfordshire Mavericks new co-captains for the 2017 Netball Superleague season which starts Friday.

The duo will be joined by Rose Morgan-Smith as vice-captain.

All three of these players know what it takes to succeed in the black and purple of Mavericks and are ready to take this squad all the way to the Vitality Netball SuperLeague Final 2017.

Ahead of Friday’s season-opener in Hatfield against Team Northumbria at Herts Sports Village, Keable said: “I am so thrilled to be co-captain with Vicklyn for Mavericks this season.

“We both bring years of experience and knowledge to the role.

“It’s such an exciting time to lead a fresh group of players in a very new and different looking Superleague.

“To also have Rose Morgan-Smith as our vice, is such an asset, not only in her talent and experience, but between the three of us we cover all positions on the court.

“It’s an exciting time to be a Maverick and we are honoured to lead the squad in the 11th Superleague season.”

An equally delighted Joseph added: “With my return to Hertfordshire Mavericks this year it was a privilege and an honour when asked to be co-captain along side Lindsay.

“We have both worked really hard in motivating and helping to prepare the squad for the start of the season and it’s finally here.

“The Mavericks family is ready and we aim to give the fans exactly what they want with entertaining matches and wins!”
