HERTS' senior badminton players netted the Premier B title at Milton Keynes after completing their final three inter-county matches of the season unbeaten.
The county's aces beat Hampshire's second string 9-1 at the National Badminton Centre and followed that up with an 8-2 victory over Yorkshire 2nds.
The Herts squad, including Potters Bar teenager Ryan McCarthy and Little Heath girl Laura Cousins, then drew with closest rivals Nottinghamshire 5-5 on the Sunday.
Those results ensured Herts topped the table with 71 points, four more than runners-up Notts, with Yorkshire 2nds a distant third on 58.
Highlights of the final county weekend included the ladies going undefeated, with Kelly Matthews and Laura Cousins producing three quality singles performances.
Matthews beat Annie Avison 21-7, 21-10 in Herts' victory over Hants.
Cousins also claimed the scalp of Josie Latimer in that match with a 21-12, 21-12 scoreline.
The singles pair both beat their Yorkshire opponents with Matthews defeating Sarah Milne 21-13, 21-16. Cousins was taken to a third before emerging triumphant 18-21, 21-18, 21-16.
The duo completed the weekend unbeaten at singles with a couple of victories against Notts.
Matthews this time beat Kate Fenton 21-14, 21-15, while Cousins was a 21-7, 21-6 winner against Kerry-Ann Gayle.
That victory ensured Cousins remained undefeated all season at singles.
There were a number of other impressive displays over the weekend.
Ware's Natalie Munt completed the season unbeaten at ladies' doubles and mixed doubles.
Herts' women, in fact, did not lose a single ladies' doubles match all season, with Hertford's Rachel Howard, Suzanne Rayappan, Cousins and Matthews all shining at Milton Keynes in the final round of fixtures.
Munt was undefeated at first mixed with Dean George and the Herts pair scored an excellent 21-17, 26-24 win over Olympic silver medallist Nathan Robertson and partner Alison Pulford in Herts' 5-5 draw against Notts.
Fourteen-year-old Chancellor's School pupil McCarthy also made his senior county debut for the men against Notts.
