Hatfield House Real Tennis Club are hosting their Billy Ross Skinner Invitational Mixed Doubles tournament, sponsored by Neptune Investment Management, at the weekend.

The three-day tournament, which will run from Friday to Sunday, is an event where the best female real tennis players pair up with men of an equal standard in the world’s oldest racquet sport – played on an inside court using wooden racquets and cork-based balls.

This year there are a host of previous female winners returning including three-time winners Jill Newby and Ellie Harris as well as one-time winners Sara Metherell, Louise Mercier and Alex Garside.

There is also a good contingent of Hatfield members involved in the event including the aforementioned Newby and Mercier as well as, Georgie Willis, Alex Brodie, Maggie Henderson-Tew and Steve Brewerton, Alistair Hunter, George Foxall and another previous winner Nick Brodie from the men.
