Hatfield bowlers swept away at Broomfield

HATFIELD Bowls Club lost 108-95 in a mixed friendly at Broomfield on Saturday. The hosts came out on top in the game played on five rinks. The visitors did have a highest winning rink with Dave Hedger, Maureen Metcalf, Val Batts and skip Malcolm Ingram at

HATFIELD Bowls Club lost 108-95 in a mixed friendly at Broomfield on Saturday.

The hosts came out on top in the game played on five rinks.

The visitors did have a highest winning rink with Dave Hedger, Maureen Metcalf, Val Batts and skip Malcolm Ingram at 26-14.

On Sunday Hatfield played four men's rinks and two ladies' rinks against Tewin's Shire Park club.

Hatfield lost overall 117-112 with the men losing 95-63 and the ladies winning 49-22.

Their men's highest rink was 20-14 to Ken Norris, Tim Latchford, Ted Calvert and skip Henry Fisher.
