HATFIELD Town manager Trevor Lloyd is looking for his Hatfield side to bounce back against Arlesey Athletic at home on Saturday.

The Blueboys fell to a 4-2 defeat to Cranfield United, with Lloyd left questioning the commitment of some of his players.

But he is still positive looking ahead to his side's South Midlands Football League Division One game against fourth-bottom Arlesey.

"I am confident and positive going into the next game, and we'll have Lewis Owen back which will be good for the team," said Lloyd.

"He's a good player and a committed one, and he's also good in the dressing room so that will be a bonus.

"We'll be looking to bounce back after the Cranfield defeat and get the win.

"We beat them away 2-1 after going a goal down, so I think we have what it takes to get the three points."

Hatfield slipped six points behind Royston Town and Kings Langley at the top of the league after the joint-leaders played out a goalless draw.

But Lloyd is adamant that his side have to look after themselves if they are to challenge for promotion.

He added: "We have got to keep plodding on and try to eradicate poor results.

"We just have to concentrate on putting together the wins and focus on our own job.

"I think we should be going into every game positive that we can win, and there's a long way to go.
