TOWN manager Trevor Lloyd is in confident mood as he looks ahead to his side's FA Cup extra preliminary tie against Brimsdown Rovers on Sunday.

Lloyd has just returned to the country after a family holiday, and he is chomping at the bit as he aims for more success on the pitch for Town.

"I am looking forward to the cup game, although we will just have to treat it as any other," said the former club captain.

"But we have a match tonight (Wednesday) in the league first (London Colney at home), so we have to concentrate on getting the three points there, then we can look to Sunday's game.

"Brimsdown are definitely beatable and hopefully we will go there full of confidence after picking up three points after tonight's game."

And Lloyd is also hoping that his squad will not be further decimated with suspensions, after Town had two players sent off in Saturday's draw in the league opener away at Buckingham Athletic.

John McGrandles and Gary Coley were the two men in question after a scuffle ensued between the teams, with Athletic having two strikers red-carded also.

Highlights of Town's FA Cup tie will be available on ITVlocal.com.
