A surprising goalkeeping error handed Knebworth the keys to Rovers’ defence for the opener, enabling the home side to cruise to an eighth league win of the campaign.

Misjudging the size of his area, Wormley keeper Allan Buck collected the ball outside the box to give the K’s a direct free-kick.

Seizing the gift, Sam Harte hammered the ball against the post with Folorunso following up to tap the ball home.

It was a pivotal moment in the game which had seen Wormley give Knebworth a hard time defending switched balls and winning heavy tackles.

But the comfort of a 1-0 lead created the confidence that Knebworth needed to strive for more.

A cross from winger Charlie Pratt, cutting the Wormley defence in half, was perfectly placed for Folorunso to score his second goal of the match.

But the away side had not given up yet; taking advantage of a good cross and Knebworth’s lapse in concentration, Wormley’s Tom Welch brought the team back into the game.

With the match finely balanced, tough tackles became routine as both sides increased their determination to win the ball

Jack Evans began to exert his influence on the game to finally swing the game in Knebworth’s favour.

With 20 minutes to go, a Folorunso header rebounded off the keeper for Harte to hammer the ball into the net for the killer blow.

With Wormley now demoralised, and their concentration shattered, it came as no surprise when, in the dying minutes, Folorunso clipped the ball home again.

Knebworth travel to Sandridge Rovers in the Aubrey Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.

Knebworth have also announced the sponsorship of their away kits by Stevenage-based company Corehard,
