LEWIS Hamilton proved he's a real street fighter at the start of today's Monaco Grand Prix.

Starting third on the grid in the rain, the 23-year-old McLaren driver quickly got the march on Kimi Raikkonen to take second spot.

The Herts hero had lined up behind an all-Ferrari front row of pole-sitter Felipe Massa and reigning world champion Raikkonen.

However, Hamilton overtook the Finnish Ferrari driver on the inside in the opening seconds of the race to improve his chances of a grand prix victory around the tight and twisty streets of Monte Carlo.
