LEWIS Hamilton ranks today's victory in Australia right up there with his best.
The 23-year-old from Herts has now won five of the 18 grands prix he has raced in.
His opening success came at Montreal last June in the Canadian Grand Prix and he won again a week later at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Hamilton's US Grand Prix victory was followed by two more in Hungary and Japan in 2007.
Sunday's triumph in Melbourne means Hamilton has recorded victories in four continents in little over a year since his grand prix debut.
The Herts motor racer said: "I would say it's quite different to my first win in Montreal, just because it was really not expected.
"Coming into your second season, this is a sort of a target we set, I set myself, and so I guess I've put more pressure on myself this year.
"I think this win perhaps feels better than any because I feel I'm improved in many areas but I wouldn't say it's the perfect win.
"I would say that there's a lot of areas I can improve.
"But I think in terms of managing my tyres, controlling my pace, and confidence and being comfortable in the car, it's probably the best race I've had so far."
Hamilton races again next Sunday in the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.
