IT was a good week for Potters Bar Bowls Club's ladies.

Their first victory came in the Brigg League with a win against Northaw & Cuffley last Wednesday afternoon.

Jean Stokes, Pat Thompson and Pam Rodgers won their rink by 24 shots to 19.

Although Hazel Thurgood, Josie Massey and Eileen Anchor lost 18-15, the match was taken by Potters Bar by two shots.

Potters Bar's ladies were the visitors at Hertford Castle the following afternoon and scored a good win by 38 shots to 33.

Joyce Houghton, Barbara Lelliot, Josie Massey and Pam Rodgers won their rink 22-16.

Hazel Thurgood, Lillian Stout, Beryl Burbridge and Eileen Anchor lost by one shot, going down 17-16.
