HATFIELD'S 2nd XI defied weakened availability by bowling out visitors Southgate Adelaide for just 74 in their Saracens Herts Division Seven match.

The star with the ball was Mark Golder, who took 4-24.

He was well supported by Alan Jakes with 2-19 and Kunal Shah's 2-17, plus a miserly 1-9 from nine overs by Justin Evans.

Hatfield made a positive start in reply as John McCarthy (17) and Graham Causton (10) took the total to 35 before three wickets fell.

But Dan Hardy with 16 and Sisantha Arachchi with 13 saw Hatfield home to a seven-wicket victory in 22 overs.
