BOWLER Mark Golder took four wickets for Hatfield 3rds as they beat their Hitchin counterparts by three wickets.

Hitchin won the toss and elected to bat in wet conditions on Saturday.

They scored 79 all out after some great catches and bowling by Alan Dudman and Golder.

The batting response was very mixed with Hitchin showing their strength of bowling.

Despite a great effort on their part, luck was on Hatfield's side in the Herts Division 12 clash.

Skipper Bruce Percival battled on as five wickets went.

He was caught on 30, leaving Golder and Anand Krishnan to reach 80-7 to claim a fine three-wicket win.
