Garden City Runners have been back on the virtual beat following the placing of Welwyn Hatfield into tier four - and some of them have been climbing mountains.
Becca Hayden, along with husband Alex and mum Ann, decided to run the Snowdonia Half.
It had been cancelled and changed to a virtual event and while the trio weren't faced with anywhere near as much elevation, their efforts around the Welwyn Half route, along Howlands to the Cole Green Way towards Hertford looping round Birch Green and Cole Green, before turning and running the same way home, earned them their medals and t-shirts.
The three ran together, finishing their run at Stanborough Lakes. Ann and Alex came home in a time of two hours four minutes 44 seconds while Becca pushed on over the last miles to finish in 1:59:33.
As they did in each previous instance where actual events were cancelled, GCRs have a series of challenges set by their run leaders with the latest being the 12 runs after Christmas.
