More than 80 runners from Garden City Runners took part in the club's 3K relays.

Teams of four ran round a course in the town and it was the squad of Simon Bostock, Adam Wadley, GCR debutant Aidan Wadley and Jack Tann who took the first prize with a combined time of 42 minutes 57 seconds.

The fastest women’s team was Anna Ward, Zoe Stephens, Martha Hall and Lizzie Parry with Ward the fastest woman, clocking 10:39.

Daniel Pudner got the fastest time overall as he finished in 9:49.

The latest Garden City Runners beginners group celebrated their graduation in the usual manner - with an appearance at Panshanger Parkrun

The group takes inexperienced runners and helps them get to a 5k, with seven of them pounding the route round Panshanger Park.

The seven to complete it were Katie, Michelle, Louise, Ceri, Alison, Val and Tendy and the remaining three, Judy, Louise and Michael, also completed the course but couldn’t make the parkrun.
