North Mymms 293-4 Sawbridgeworth 202-7

NORTH Mymms' overseas star Harshad Rawle smashed an unbeaten century as his side drew with Sawbridgeworth in Division Two of the HCPL.

Sawbo captain Danny Wilson won the toss and elected to bowl first and chase whatever Mymms set, on what looked like another good Home Farm track.

Mymms' openers Mark Saxby and Rhys Wynne set out in normal fashion getting the hosts off to a strong start.

When Wynne fell, Andrew Hicks was promoted up the order and did not disappoint.

Saxby fell for a quick fire 43 and this brought Harshad Rawle to the crease.

Hicks and Rawle continued to manipulate the ball and frustrated the fielding side. Hicks was out lbw for a superb 61.

Rawle pushed and looked for his fourth league century of the year.

He did not disappoint finishing on 102 not out.

Mymms closed on 293-4 off their 60 overs.

This seemed to be a very achievable total on a Mymms track which offered a lot to the batting side.

A good early partnership from the Sawbo openers got the visitors off to a slow but solid start.

Mymms started to up the pressure just before tea and the pressure paid off with an excellent direct hit run-out removing Sawbo's main batsmen.

As always Mymms were running through the overs and looking to win the game.

It was around the 39th over when Sawbo decided the total was unachievable.

With this mentality from the visitors, the match was brought into stalemate.

The hosts continued to apply the pressure with little reward.

The match ended up in a draw with the visitors accumulating 202-7 off 59 overs.

Mymms came away with the Lions share of the bonus points; 12 to Sawbo's seven.
