LEWIS Hamilton has finished runner-up in today's Turkish Grand Prix.

The 23-year-old McLaren driver took the second step on the podium at the Instanbul Speed Park.

He crossed the line behind Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who won from pole position for his third successive victory in Turkey.

Hamilton's superb drive on a bold three-stop strategy split the two Ferraris, with Kimi Raikkonen back in third spot.

Massa's victory has lifted him into second place in the drivers' championship behind his team-mate.

Crucially though, Hamilton's second has cut Raikkonen's advantage over him to seven points in the title race with 13 grands prix to go.

It's Monte Carlo next for Hamilton and the McLaren team on May 25.

McLaren claimed a one-two in Monaco last year and the infamous street circuit suits Hamilton's car and driving style down to the ground.
