TENNIS teams from Herts competed in three competitions over the May Bank Holiday weekend, showing the strength in depth of the county squad.

Girls and boys from Herts both took part in the 14U County Cup in Birmingham with mixed fortunes.

The girls were promoted from their division, but the boys were relegated.

The Lionel Cox Trophy also took place at the Queenswood Tennis Centre in Brookmans Park.

And the Gosling Sports Park in WGC was the setting for the Regional 9 and Under Mini Tennis Orange event over the holiday weekend containing the same eight counties as the Lionel Cox competition.
