Top names in world football were honoured by WGC charity The Willow Foundation at their 2017 London Football Awards.

Gary Lineker hosted the event at Battersea Evolution last week where the likes of Frank Lampard, N’Golo Kante, Antonio Conte, Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris collected gongs as did Arsenal Ladies’ former University of Hertfordshire student Jordan Nobbs.

In its third year, the London Football Awards, sponsored by Toscafund, raised more than £200,000 for former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter Bob Wilson OBE and his wife Megs’ charity Willow.

The charity is the only national one to work with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days.

Willow life president Wilson said: “It has been another dramatic and exciting season for the London clubs, across the leagues and women’s game.

“The London Football Awards is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the skills of our nominees, which we have seen on the pitches of the capital over the last few months, as well as all the outstanding community work achieved by the clubs.”

The winners were: Premier League Player of the Year (sponsored by Toscafund) N’Golo Kante (Chelsea); London Manager of the Year (sponsored by footballmanager.com) Antonio Conte (Chelsea); EFL Player of the Year (sponsored by Multiplex) Tom Cairney (Fulham); London Young Player of the Year (under-23) (sponsored by Umbro) Dele Alli (Tottenham); London Women’s Player of the Year (sponsored by Barclays) Jordan Nobbs (Arsenal); London Goalkeeper of the Year (sponsored by Ideal Bathrooms) Hugo Lloris (Tottenham); London Community Project of the Year (sponsored by the FA) Fulham – Feltham Young Offenders Institute; Outstanding Contribution to London Football (sponsored by GM Real Estate) Frank Lampard.
