A BELOW-par performance by Sherrardswood Yellows Under-10s saw them beaten 4-0 against high-flying Hertford Harts on Saturday.

Hertford are unbeaten for over a year and already through to the last eight of the county cup and showed few signs of losing that record.

Yellows battled hard but could not break through a solid midfield to trouble the Harts keeper.

In contrast, Harry Rember in the Yellows goal kept his side in the game thanks also to some sound defending by Robbie Crawford.

At two goals down in the first half, Yellows then lost two players to injury. The second half followed much the same pattern with Rember making some outstanding saves.

Glenn Gleeson had a chance to pull a goal back, but failed to connect fully before Hertford scored two more in quick succession.

Sherrardswood seemed to get stronger in the final stages but Hertford saw the game out.
