Potters Bar Town’s new managerial team enjoyed an almost perfect start to their tenure at the Pakex Stadium as they hit four past Wingate & Finchley.

It was the first official game in charge for Lee O’Leary and Scott Cousins since their appointment was confirmed and the players responded in style.

Three first-half goals from Dernell Wynter and a fifth in three games for Brad Sach gave the Scholars a comfortable win.

The opener came on eight minutes as Wynter slammed home the rebound following Shane Gore’s save from a Keagan Cole penalty and seven minutes later it was 2-0 as Wynter drove into the box.

A second penalty gave him the chance to complete his hat-trick.

The second half proved a slightly more mundane affair as Wingate tied to gain a foothold but Bar held out comfortably.

And after hitting the post Sach had better luck latching onto a Ryan Forde free-kick to finish an excellent day for the Scholars.
