JASON Caswell notched his 10th goal of the season so far - but couldn’t prevent Hatfield Town going down 3-1 away at Tring Athletic last night (Tuesday).

Home side Tring got off to the perfect start when former Welwyn Garden City FC striker Stewart King netted after only three minutes.

But Hatfield went in at the break level at 1-1 when prolific Caswell scored to break into double figures for the season.

But the Blueboys were undone by two penalties in the second period.

First, Dave Whicker netted from the spot after 66 minutes, and that man again made the points safe with two minutes to go with another penalty.

Hatfield slip to their fourth defeat in the opening six South Midlands Premier Division games.

On Saturday, Kevin Pearman and Darryn Stewart’s side travel to take on Leighton Town in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.
