WGC Youth FC U13 Typhoons celebrated an outstanding season at the Mid Herts Rural Minors League annual awards ceremony held at The Spotlight in Hoddesdon.

Competing against teams from across Hertfordshire, Essex and Middlesex the boys had already had a hugely successful season in reaching the MHRML Shield Final at Potters Bar Town.

But they went on to secure promotion too and the team celebrated in style by receiving their trophies.

Manager Anthony Dorman said: “This is the second successive year that the team have been invited to ceremony to celebrate a successful season and it is an achievement the boys can be proud.”

The team are looking to bolster their squad for the coming season and any Year 8 pupils, Year 9 from September, are welcome to attend one of the free Wednesday evening training sessions.
