It may have been a quiet week on the pitch but off the field manager Adam Fisher has still moved to strengthen his Welwyn Garden City squad.

Bar a hastily-arranged friendly tonight (Tuesday) against Ware, the Citizens have been without a game since their 2-1 win over Kidlington on October 20.

But the friendly gave Fisher the chance to field Andrew Iwediuno after the former St Albans City defender moved from Biggleswade Town.

Fisher took to Twitter to express his delight at the signature but admitted that should the player want to make the step back up to a level he is more than capable of playing, he will go with City’s blessing.

Fisher said: “Delighted to get the big man in. He can play CB or FB so will give us more options in that department. We will help him get fit and playing again with understanding that if and when Biggleswade want or need him back, and he wants to go back, then he will.”
