Welwyn Garden City will look to bounce back from their first home defeat of the season when they host Berkhamsted in EvoStik Southern Central Division One on Saturday.

The Citizens saw a four-game winning record at Herns Lane ended by Cambridge City last weekend, when Ryan Sharman headed home 18 minutes from time in front of a crowd of 144.

And the match ended on a sour note, with both sides seeing players sent off following a fracas.

Defeat left WGC in fifth place with 12 points from seven matches, following their promotion from the Spartan South Midlands League last season, while Berkhamstead find themselves in 12th with seven points from five fixtures.

They were without a game last weekend and will not have played for 14 days since their 2-0 home victory over Kidlington.

WGC are set to host Barton Rovers in the League Challenge Cup on Tuesday.
