ON a glorious sunny day at Monk's Walk School, Welwyn Pegasus Under-10 Sky's performed superbly as they defeated their Nazeing Youth counterparts 4-0.

The victory guarantees the side at least a runners-up position in the Mid Herts Rural Minors League Under-10 Blue Division.

Pegasus dominated from the start and after 10 minutes they went 1-0 up with a great goal from Toby Symes.

Then Frankie Lees scored his first of the day after following up a powerful shot from Sam Benwell.

Nazeing Youth tried their hardest, but the tireless efforts of Liam Hill, Charlie Bell and Sam Jackson-Graves in the Sky's midfield stopped them creating many chances.

Welwyn continued to pile on the pressure in the second half but Nazeing stepped up a gear and gave the Sky's everything they had.

But with some outstanding goalkeeping from Jack Hanson and solid defending from Harry Dalby, Bradley Webb and Daniel Griffin, they kept a clean sheet.

Two more goals from Lees and Symes ensured the Sky's ran out 4-0 winners to take the three points that secure second spot in the league.
