A TRIO of Welwyn Hatfield footballers were celebrating last night (Thursday) after Arsenal Ladies won their 10th FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup.

The Lady Gunners hammered Doncaster Rovers Belles 5-0 in the final, held at Scunthorpe United's Glanford Park.

Trio Faye White, Kelly Smith and Alex Scott all live in Times Territory and two of them got on the scoresheet.

England striker Smith grabbed a hat-trick, while international team-mate Scott also netted, the other goal came from Suzanne Grant.

It was an emotional evening for Smith and Scott in more ways than one.

The victory marked the duo's last game for the North London club before they move to America to play for Boston Breakers.

Unfortunately injured Arsenal Ladies captain Faye White did not feature in the game.
