WELWYN Garden City drew 3-3 in an entertaining clash at Herns Lane with Langford last night (Wednesday) to extend their unbeaten SSML Division One run to five matches.

Jerome Cain bagged the opener for the hosts on eight minutes, however Langford’s Jim Peters struck a brace before half-time to hand the Bedfordshire side the lead.

City responded and levelled early in the second half through defender Simon Chang and then regained the advantage as Tommy Kiernan netted a penalty on 54 minutes.

However, the pulsating encounter was to end all square as Langford’s Kim Forsythe hit the final goal of the game to make the final score 3-3.

City travel away to Stony Stratford Town in the SSML on Saturday.
