Tony Gotobed netted for WGC last night (Wednesday)


WELWYN Garden City FC powered to a 3-1 win last night (Wednesday) against Wodson Park.

The victory was the Citizens’ second of the season, and takes their points tally to nine from their opening seven games in Division One of the Spartan South Midlands League.

City were 2-0 up at half-time courtesy of strikes from Perry Stellon and Leigh Nymm.

Tony Gotobed made the points safe three minutes from full-time, but Wodson Park scored a consolation through Ashley Wackers.

On Saturday, WGC are in FA Vase action as they host Bedford in the First Round Qualifying.
