THE Citizens two-match unbeaten Spartan South Midlands League Division One run came to an end away to a strong St Albans City Reserves on Tuesday night.

Simon Braine’s side conceded twice in the first half and were unable to hit back with a goal of their own, although they did hit the bar in the second half.

Dom Petrucci and Rob Quattromini netted for The Saints, who fielded Ross Dedman, Nicholas Chrysanthou and David Galbraith from their Blue Square Bet South first team side.

WGC are again on their travels on Saturday as they head to bottom of the table Stony Stratford Town.
