Welwyn Garden City have announced their pre-season line-up ahead of their historic new season.

They were promoted to step four of the national league system for the first time in their history last time out.

And to prepare themselves for their Southern League East adventure, manager Adam Fisher and his side will face some tasty challenges in pre-season.

The stand out game is the final one, when Premier League Watford will send their U23 development side to Herns Lane on August 4.

It is a balanced set of games with City facing two sides from the level above, two from the level below and two from other leagues at step four.

Bostik Premier side Wingate & Finchley start things off on July 14 with Ware and Hertford Town on the following two Saturday’s.

The midweek games, all on Tuesday, begin with Crawley Green on July 17, followed by Newport Pagnell Town and Biggleswade Town.
