Vital win for Potters Bar Town at Kingstonian thanks to Ben’s brace

Two goals from Ben Ward-Cochrane helped Potters Bar Town to a vital 2-1 win away to Kingstonian in the Bostik Premier Division.
It was the forward’s third goal since rejoining the Scholars from Hertford Town late last month and earned his team a first win in nine games.
It was a deserved success though for the visitors who have now moved eight points above the relegation places, although having played a game more than most of the teams below them.
The goals were chalk and cheese.
The first after 30 minutes was little more than a tap-in from a scramble but the second, 12 minutes into the second-half, was a beauty.
It came from a fantastic cross-field ball from Keagan Cole which found Ward-Cochrane in space and he let fly to give Rob Tolfrey in the Kingstonian goal no chance.
Late substitutions from the hosts brought an injury-time consolation from Andrew Musungu but with Bar keeper Niko Tzanev making a number of fine saves, and the Scholars’ defence denying other chances, it was all they were ever going to get.
