Ultimate Football WGC Monday Night League: Two from two for Blackpool

In the Ultimate Football Welwyn Garden City Monday night 6aside league, Blackpool made it two wins in two games as they beat Wheeler Dealers to stay top of the Premiership.

Karim Winnan’s hat-trick and a clinical strike from David Willis were enough to clinch a 4-2 victory over James Wheeler’s men.

Division One leaders FC Big Fan battled through to beat Neverbee Athletic 3-0 after a goal-less first half. Dan Allison, Scott Leger and Christian Iszchak got the goals.

Volvo Selekt picked up a 2-0 win over an under-resourced Mark Beard FC thanks to sublime strikes from Alex Puchalla and Martin Clark late in the game.

Four goals from Stuart Madill and a brace from Charlie Bacon were among the pick of the goals in Hedgehog FC’s emphatic victory over Two Goals One Cup.

In the Championship, Smakosze St. Albans suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of newly promoted Inter FC while Getafe 2.0 drew 2-2 with Leg Day Pending.

Boca Seniors, who recently gained promotion to the Premiership, were out-paced for some of their encounter with Jamie Riley’s Academy Rejects, eventually losing 6-2.

Matt Wren bagged four goals and there was two for Ryan Thorlby and one for Tyler Edwards.

Boca’s goals came from player-manager Saleem Jabbar and an own goal.

Also in the Premiership, Eddy Webb gave Motherwell a 1-0 half-time lead in their tie with My Dixie, but some well-worked counter-attacks enabled George Robinson and Conor Bartram to net fand give them their first win of the season.

With a bank holiday on Monday, the next set of fixtures is May 8.
