The autumn season of the Ultimate Football six-a-side League in WGC ended with Rag Rovers claiming the Premiership title.
And they celebrated with a 7-3 win over Stroke T, Prince Appleton hitting a hat-trick.
Runners-up Litty Commity pinched an entertaining encounter against SD & Carlton Cole 7-4. Kieran Pendrel-Smith grabbed a hat-trick while Charlie Lloyd’s single left him on 22 and the winner of the golden boot.
Another thrilling match was won 3-2 by Volvo Selekt against Flumpy FC who had twice taken the lead through Wilf Armitt and Jack Kendrick.
But Martin Clark, Jordan Palmer and Phil Winter ensured the points went to Volvo.
Blackpool also won 3-2 against SD & Carlton Cole with Paolo Goodman.
In the Championship, Mark Rogers hit all four as FC Rangers Old Boys won 4-1 against Real Sons, whose response came from Morgan Harvey.
The Rock fought back from two down to win 3-2 against Stevie Wonder. Josh Jordan got both for Wonder but Jack Hurd, Dan Harper and Luke Jones turned the game around.
The Mavericks took the lead against Boyz2Men through Dave Kelly but that was as good as it got as they lost 7-1, Joe Martin scoring a hat-trick.
The season’s silverware therefore goes to Rag Rovers (Premiership winners), The Rock (Championship winners), Charlie Lloyd of Litty Commity (golden boot), and Tom Cornwall of Stroke T (best individual performer).
