Welwyn Garden City took their tally of new faces up to three on transfer deadline day as manager Dean Barker continues to strengthen the squad.

In reality the Citizens are not tied to a transfer window as Football League clubs are but the new boss is still in the process of moulding a new-look side and after bringing Emmanuel Melford-Rowe back to the club, he brought in a defender and a striker.

Lewis Hobbs makes the hosrt journey up from Bostik Premier Division neighbours Potters Bar Town.

The full-back only joined the Scholars in November but has also played at Royston Town and Hendon.

Barker’s options up front have been bolstered by the addition of Eusebio Da Silva from Barking, a club he only joined in late October.
