IT is the one Town fans have been waiting for tomorrow - Hatfield's crunch clash with Premier Division leaders Met Police Bushey.

And things couldn't be much tighter at the top of the Herts Senior County League table with Hatfield only three points behind their title rivals.

A Town victory at WGC's Herns Lane ground on Saturday would take them top on goal difference and make them favourites for the silverware.

Trevor Lloyd and Andy Prutton have worked miracles since taking over as Town's new management duo last summer.

Last weekend's 6-1 victory over Bushey Rangers secured the club promotion to the Spartan South Midlands League.

Rhys Lawrence and Trevor Golder scored two apiece in that match, with David Reade and Jason Beck also on target.

Now the title is in sight for the club.

Town were a massive 14 points behind Met Police at one stage in November.

But Hatfield have clawed back the deficit with just once league defeat since last October and could climb top by 5pm tomorrow afternoon.

A home win would mean the title is Town's to lose.

Maximum points from their final two league fixtures against Codicote next Tuesday (April 22) and Whitewebbs on April 29 would then confirm the club as champions.

With Town's second string having already bagged the Reserve Division One title, a trophy double could be on the cards.
