The burly former MK Dons player is looking for a return to the professional game and is trying his luck north of the border.

McCoy, who has also featured in the Scholars' back four this term, played 90 minutes for the Perth side's reserves in their 1-0 win over East Fife.

He is not the first player from Parkfield to attract interest from professional clubs this year.

Former Town left back Nathan Smith was signed by League One's Yeovil Town last month after impressing during a trial spell.
