On a bitterly cold morning, there was some extremely heated football on show in the Welwyn Hatfield Sunday League Premier Division.
The Grove beat The Rosey 3-2 to climb to the top of the league table.
The Rosey played some great football with goals for Luke Baverstock and Daniel Armstrong, however The Grove just edged it with goals from Adie Hammill (two) and Sam Cockhill.
Shamrock Rovers took on The Sun Inn Lemsford and it was Rovers who dominated proceedings, claiming a 10-0 win.
Olly Rouse scored four goals with Ben Smith and Luke Radley getting two each.
Matt Standen and Perry Stellon also got on the scoresheet.
Welwyn Campus took on Hatfield Cricket Club and, in another dominating performance, Campus ran out 8-0 winners.
Marc Arnott netted a hat-trick, there was a brace for Will Powell and one each for Joe Drummey, Andrew Elliot and Ben Prudence.
Shamrock Rovers Reserves claimed a 4-2 away victory at Hatfield Seniors.
It was a very tight game with end-to-end football being played.
Curtis Warner got a brace for Seniors, but Shamrock’s Jonny Douglas (two), Jack Hurdy and Rhys Hopkins secured the points for their side.
A Martin Standen treble and two own goals helped The Great Northern to a 5-2 win over The Cock.
Brad Walsh and Chris Eke were on target for The Cock.
