WELWYN Pegasus Royals Under-11s are celebrating after winning the League Cup following a 3-1 triumph against their Cheshunt Youth counterparts.

Cheshunt got off to the better start, putting pressure on the Royals from the kick-off.

Eventually this pressure told by a long shot which Robbie Crawford attempted to block but the ball deflected into the top left-hand corner of the Pegasus goal.

Then a long ball over the Cheshunt defence was seized upon by Harry Tann, who chipped the keeper to level the score.

Pegasus then took the lead when Harry Tann intercepted a pass from Cheshunt defence and again chipped the keeper with a shot just inside the area

In the second half an unexpected mistake by the Cheshunt goalkeeper allowed Harry Tann to complete his hat-trick and win the man-of-the-match award.

It was a fantastic match and well deserved win with congratulations to the whole team.
