Dean Barker’s first signing as Welwyn Garden City manager is a familiar face to supporters at Herns Lane.

Taishan Griffith played for the Citizens for a number of seasons before switching to Biggleswade Town and Biggleswade FC.

The wide man joined Hendon in the summer as one of Jimmy Gray’s first signings but after making 23 appearances for the Greens, Barker has persuaded him to return to the claret and blue shirt.

City are expected to add around half a dozen more to the squad before tomorrow night’s game against Sutton Coldfield Town.

Going in the other direction is Charlie Smith who only joined WGC in November from Hitchin Town.

He is one of a number of players who have chosen to leave following the resignation of Adam Fisher on Thursday night.
