Potters Bar Town found their winning habit again with stubborn 1-0 success away to Brightlingsea Regent.

Dernell Wynter’s fifth goal in Scholar’s colours before the break was enough to land a second away win in the Bostik Premier League and move them up to ninth in the table.

They were their usual well-drilled selves and put in yet another superb defensive performance to keep Regent out.

The hosts started well enough but without testing Berkley Laurencin.

Jake Clowsley had their best chance in the first period but with the goal at his mercy, he missed the target altogether.

It proved costly as Wynter took full advantage of his goal-scoring opportunity before the break.

That proved to be the only goal of the game but Bar did have plenty of possession and territory in the second half and never looked like conceding.

And while the game itself had limited chances, the Scholars were not complaining as they prepare for another away day on Saturday, this time to Tonbridge Angels.
