ST JOHNS Youth Blues Under-14s enjoyed two wins against Potters Bar sides recently.

First up the talented side saw off their Potters Bar Crusaders counterparts 6-0.

A brace by Mikie Truman and a fine lobbed goal from Jamie McVeigh were the highlights from this game.

Then Potters Bar United Under-14s were the opponents and again St Johns Youth were triumphant, this time winning 2-0.

In a first half of a scrappy game with few clear-cut chances, each side came close with headers. At half-time the score was 0-0.

The second half was much brighter for St Johns and they scored through a good finish by Dean Cairns.

A well-executed volley by Josh Neville made the final score 2-0.
