FOOTBALL legends Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa were the special guests at the Welwyn Garden City FC presentation evening.

The ex-Argentina internationals and Tottenham Hotspur FA Cup winners had been to watch Spurs beat Southampton and dropped in at Herns Lane afterwards.

Ardiles, whose son Pablo was assistant manager to Welwyn Garden City boss Scott O’Donoghue this season, and Villa handed out the club’s awards.

Scooping a hat-trick of awards on the night was winger Kieran Weeks, who collected top scorer, goal of the season and players’ player of the year.

The rest of the first team awards went to Ben Awad (Clubman of the Year), Mark Draper (Manager’s player of the Year) and Isaac Oppong (supporters’ player of the Year).

For Mark Slater’s reserve side Rob Gregory picked up the Players’ player of the Year. Their other awards went to Geoff Knight (Manager’s Player of the Year), Cliff Chavahundra (Young player of the Year), Anthony Assin (Clubman of the Year) and Ibrahim Camara (top scorer).
