PARKFIELD will stage a league Boxing Day fixture for the first time on Wednesday when Potters Bar Town entertain Enfield Town.

The Scholars are hoping the game will be well attended and are aiming to beat their all-time home league attendance record of 269.

Ahead of the Ryman League Division One North encounter, Bar chairman Peter Waller said: "People who are looking for a bit of a break over Christmas can come along.

"We have only been at this level for three years and it's the first time we've had a home game on Boxing Day.

"It will be a local derby, everyone is welcome and I'm sure this will be a very good game."

The match, which sees fourth top Enfield take on fourth bottom Bar, kicks-off at 1pm, gates open at 11.30am.

Entrance will be free for children and the first 150 people through the turnstiles get seats in the stand.
