THE Scholars have signed Luton Town teenage striker Ashley Harrison-Barker on work experience for the rest of the season.

The 17-year-old, from Potters Bar, is a second year scholar at Kenilworth Road and has featured for their youth team and reserves.

Bar boss Steve Browne, whose side have struggled to find the net this season, said: "He's another forward. He has scored a few goals at reserve and youth levels for Luton."

The Hatters will not be keeping the youngster at the end of his current deal, so he's looking for a move.

Browne added: "They have told him they won't be renewing his contract at the end of the season.

"This is a chance for him to have a look at the lower leagues and get a few games under his belt."

Harrison-Barker made his debut for the Parkfield club as a second-half substitute in Saturday's 1-0 away defeat to Redbridge.

He'll be looking to make an impression, if selected, in Saturday's big game with league leaders Dartford.

Browne has stated this term that he does not have a natural goalscorer in his squad.
