POTTERS Bar Town midfielder Nick McKoy has signed professional forms with Scottish First Division side St Johnstone.

The burly former Cardiff City and MK Dons man had been looking for a return to the full-time game since joining the Scholars last season.

After a trial at the Scottish club he has penned a short-term contract which will give him until January to make a stake for a longer agreement.

The 21-year-old made his league debut for the Saints as a second-half substitute in their 4-0 away defeat to Partick Thistle on Saturday.

McKoy becomes the second player from Parkfield to be snapped up by a professional club this year.

In April, full-back Nathan Smith moved to Yeovil Town.

Smith has made a blistering start to his professional career receiving rave reviews after forcing his way into the League One side's first team.
